As the role of the County Offices of Education continues to evolve, this conference is dedicated to providing COE board members with the tools and information to empower them to be effective elected education leaders. This year’s sessions will address governance during challenging times, focusing on the unique responsibilities that differentiate county school board members from district board members. Be inspired as you leave with new ideas for serving students.

Students are carrying unthinkable levels of stress, trauma, and anxiety. With their school years cut short, life plans upended, and social lives completely disrupted, it will be incumbent on every member of a school community to make sure our students have the resources to cope and heal. This panel will examine the tools, best practices for students, and the actions board members and county offices of education should consider in developing a culture of care and wellness.
